Turkey
Turkey is a fascinating country that bridges Europe and Asia, known for its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant traditions. Turkish is the official language, spoken by the majority of the population, while Kurdish, Arabic, and Circassian are also spoken by minority communities. Although Turkey is a secular state, Islam plays a central role in daily life, with most citizens being Sunni or Shia Muslims.
Turkey hosts some of the world’s most renowned art and cultural festivals across cities such as Istanbul, Konya, Antalya, Ankara, Izmir, and Bodrum. Key events include the International Istanbul Biennial Festival, Bodrum International Ballet Festival, Mevlana Whirling Dervishes Festival, Antalya International Folk Music and Dance Festival, Istanbul Theatre Festival, and multiple opera, ballet, and film festivals that attract global audiences every year.
